Stephen Delaney, Executive Chef
Executive Chef Stephen Delaney joined DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge in October 2009.Chef Delaney is no stranger to the kitchen with nearly 20 years overseeing hotels, resorts and restaurants. His passion and dedication in the hospitality industry is evident the first time you meet him.
Chef Delaneys training began at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. After culinary school he has traveled the east coast from Massachusetts to Miami working in some of the areas top restaurants. Previous to Dolce Hotels and Resorts, Chef Delaneys career path has been through the Naples Grande Resort and Spa and the 5 star 5 diamond Ritz-Carlton, Naples, voted number one hotel in the United States by travel and leisure magazine. At the Ritz Carlton he served as Chef de Cuisine of The Grill Room. His talents at The Grill Room included overseeing the menu and recipe creation for one of the countrys most prestigious restaurant. While at The Ritz-Carlton, Chef Delaney also held the title of Chef de Cuisine at the beachfront restaurant, Gumbo Limbo.
Other past experience in the Philadelphia area includes Executive Chef at Cosimo Restaurant, Executive Chef at The Buck Hotel & Ruhlings Seafood and Executive Chef at the White Rose.
Being a Chef allows me to perfect the skills I have been taught and to expand those techniques to design recognizable food with an unexpected twist, comments Chef Delaney. In 2000 he won best chili in the United States by Parade Magazine.Although a simple dish and familiar favorite, yet an updated version was created.
